Art for Children

CLASS INFO:

  • Activities cover portraiture, landscape, still-life, illustration, working with line, perspective and depth, working with light and dark, working with color, realism, abstract art, animal art, fantasy art and the students use a variety of media to work with such as pencil, colored pencil, charcoal, pastel, oil paint, acrylic paint, watercolor, print-making, and many other materials.
  • Classes also include an introduction to the History of Art looking art through the ages from Cave painting and Egyptian Art to Modern and Contemporary painters.
  • Classes are fun and varied.
  • Students develop their creativity by exploration and experimentation, while learning essential techniques of drawing, painting, sculpting and other methods of making art.
